How do I submit a CORA request to the Clerk and Recorder’s Office?

Go to https://arapahoecountyco.nextrequest.com/requests/new and follow the steps and tips outlined there.

When will I receive a response to my request?  

Colorado law allows up to three (3) business days to fulfill an open records request. Our office reserves the right to request an extension on any open records request. 

 

Will I have to pay for the records I request?  

Yes. Arapahoe County charges a processing fee of $30 per hour for employees to process open records requests. However, we waive the fee for the first hour required to process a request. 


Do I need to create an account to make a records request? 

You do not need to create an account to submit a records request. However, if you do not create an account you may be unable to find the records you requested once they have been processed. Additionally, we will be unable to contact you if we need more information to process your request unless you have created an account. 


How do I get a police report?  

Please contact the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office for this service.

Arapahoe County Government does not provide court documents or records. Instead, please use the links below. 

 

How do I get birth certificates or death certificates? 

Please contact Arapahoe County Public Health for this service.
